Welcome to

pokeprompts' third annual pokémon holiday ~~fanfic~~ FANWORK exchange!

How this works: sign up, give someone a fanwork (fanfiction or fanart), and receive a gift in return. Everyone wins! ♥

Two big changes this year:

You don't have to be a member of pokeprompts to play—You just have to have a valid OpenID account (e.g., a DW or LJ account; here's a list of some other OpenID providers). The more the merrier!! If you're new to the whole OpenID thing: go here to log into DW with your OpenID, and then you should be able to leave your sign-up as a comment to this post.

This exchange is open to BOTH FANFICTION AND FANART. ("Fanart" for this exchange is defined as drawing/illustrating.) If you can write fic, draw art, or do both, you are cordially invited to join this exchange!

Dates

★ Sign-ups will last until November 3, 2012.

★ Assignments will be handed out on (or possibly before) November 5, 2012.

★ Gift Fanworks are due before or by December 22, 2012. That gives you almost two months to create a glorious piece of fanart or fanfic.

★ Gifts will be distributed on December 28, 2012.

Rules/Directions

★ Fics should be at least 1,000 words long. You can get there however you would like (e.g., a collection of drabbles is fine).

★ Fanart should be...an equivalent amount of effort to 1k words of fic. If you want to get there through several smaller sketches or works, that's fine!

★ You can't pick what type of work (fanfic or fanart) you will receive; we'll simply match you according to what you ask for. Don't worry, it's going to be awesome!

★ E-mail your fanwork to pokeprompts@gmail.com by Dec. 22. That will give us a few days to pinch-hit for anyone who drops without warning. (Please don't do that! ;_; But if you're going to, the sooner we know the better.)

★ Please e-mail your completed fanwork to us as an attached .txt/.doc/.rtf (fic) or .jpg/.png (art) file. Please also fill out our pokeprompts header. For fics, make sure your document includes proper HTML coding! That means instead of bolding text, instead of italicizing, etc.

★ For fic, please get a beta-reader! You can ask for one on willbetaforfood or betaplease if you don't have one.
