It's time for our extra-lucky seventh year of pokeprompts' annual pokémon holiday fanwork exchange! Once again, all gifts will be hosted on Dreamwidth with cross-linking and updates to secretstantler.

We continue to accept fanwork from every area of the Pokémon franchise, including Pokemon Go, Pokemon Generations and even SunMoon!

How this works: sign up, give someone a fanwork (fanfiction or fanart), and receive a gift in return. Everyone wins! ♥

All writers and artists are welcome to participate.


Dates

★ Sign-ups will last until November 11, 2016.

★ Assignments will be e-mailed out on (or possibly before) November 18, 2016.

★ A check-in will occur on December 2, 2016.

★ Gifts are due before or by 11:00PM EST December 17, 2016. (Countdown Timer / Time Zone Converter.)

★ Gifts will be posted on December 23, 2016.

★ Fanwork creators will be revealed on December 30, 2016.

Rules

★ Fics should be at least 1,000 words long. You can get there however you would like (e.g., a collection of drabbles is fine).

★ Fanart should be an equivalent amount of effort to 1k words of fic. It's okay to get there through several smaller sketches or works.

★ You can't pick what type of work (fanfic or fanart) you receive; we'll simply match you according to what you ask for. Don't worry, it's going to be awesome!

★ To submit your gift, please E-MAIL IT as an attachment to pokeprompts@gmail.com. Acceptable formats:

• Fanart: .GIF, .JPG, or .PNG


• Fanfiction: (please include HTML coding if you can!)
  • .TXT (Yes, that's .txt like a notepad file)
  • Pastebin
  • Google Docs
  • The mod cannot open .doc or .odt files due to their laptop being awful. If none of the above methods work, you can copy-and-paste your fic into the body of your e-mail, but please try the other methods first.

★ Please include the following header as the body of your e-mail when submitting your gift. Fill it out with all of your gift's information.

★ PLEASE tell us asap if you have to drop out of the exchange or need any help! We promise we won't get mad at you, and we might be able to help.

★ For fic, please get a beta-reader. You can ask for one on willbetaforfood or betaplease if you don't have one. If you're having trouble you can also send us an ask or e-mail us at pokeprompts@gmail.com and we'll see if we can find one for you.

★ Gifts will be linked from pokeprompts and secretstantler on Dec. 23. The time between the due date and posting date gives time for extensions if people need them, and also gives time for pinch hitters to create something.
